Buddhists for nuclear energy

If you want to see a gigantic sitting Buddha, then visit the Po Lin monastary in Hong Kong. Surrounding the big Buddha are a series of smaller figures carrying various important items. But one of them appears to be carrying a piece of a CANDU fuel bundle.

Nuclear support comes from the areas you'd least expect.

She said it, it must be true

This straight out of the Queen's speech.

My Government will introduce legislation to provide clean, secure and
affordable supplies of energy.

That proves it. El Gordo is going to see the construction of new nuclear power stations in Britain. That's certainly the BBC's conclusion from it. Either way, very good.

What's all this then? Bombs at NPP?

Naughty contractors and their munitions

I have visions of Jimbo Kern from South Park loading up for some dynamite fishing following a hard day's toil at the plant but forgetting that parking at the facility with live munitions would not be well received by security personnel.

This is a demonstration of how safety at nuclear power stations is, if anything, too good. The security personnel managed to catch even a small explosive unintentionally left in the back of the pickup.

I think this early line from the article sort of sums it up.

"This would be no story at all if it weren't for where the man worked,"
