More from Kashiwazaki-Kariwa

It was initially feared that repairs to the earthquake stricken power station could take a year. Although inspectors are still reviewing every cubic millimetre of the structure, the IAEA are saying it might not be that bad (hat tip: NEI). We'll still have to wait for the full report on the facility's future.

The 60kBq.m-3 in the spilled water from this Japanese reactor, how does that translate into rem? Also what is the radioactivity of an orange? I understand the radioactivity of a banana is about 0.90 mrem.
